Wednesday November 30th -0001I’m a fan of celebrities-turned-design mavens. They make clothing one could
imagine that celebrity wearing--at prices mere mortals can afford! Just look at
Jessica Simpson—she just topped $1billion in sales. Who’s the dumb blond now,
suckas!
Kathy Ireland is another successful celebrity-turned-designer, though I don’t believe
she had Jessica’s, ahem, reputation. Forbes called Ms. Ireland the best “prototype for
model-turned-mogul.” I just got a chance to look at her new collection for Mon Cheri
Bridals, and I’m a fan! In fact there’s something for everyone in her dresses; the first
four dresses in the moncheribridals.com all have drastically different necklines,
gown shapes, materials—which is a refreshing change from the monotonous
rhythm of strapless, strapless, sweetheart, strapless, strapless, strapless, over the
shoulder, strapless . . . etc.
I’ll definitely check them out . . . So, Princess Bride Couture in Bothell? Fair warning,
I’m bringing my mom.
